If you could choose two people to have sex with - one from the same gender as yourself and one from the opposite gender - who would you choose? Answer, then tag six people

Hmm this is hard. Man: I do love Pierce Brosnan, I do believe I'll have to go with him. Though Colin Firth, Heath Ledger, or Toby Stephens wouldn't be bad!

Girl..Maybe Scarlett Johansen though I can't tell you why. Judi Dench seems hugable...though I don't know about taking anything further with the ladies. But that was the second part of the question!

I suppose it is time for an update...

Graduate school is going ok. It is just weird having class every day with homework each night, I feel like I'm back in High School. The information hasn't been too new, which can bore me but at least it doesn't confuse me. :)

Sadly with my schedule I haven't been able to watch much of Wimbledon, and when I do it just reminds me how I long to be in England. Maybe I'll get there over my spring break, I'm starting to save already. I really want to go...

I'm going to the highland games this saturday, so perhaps I'll report back on that! It should be fun!

In AD/MM news I have nothing with which to write a story, I don't know if I've moved on or phased it out or what. I mean I still read all the ones that others write, but who knows when I'll get the chance to get another one out.

For now I'm heading to the bank, and enjoying the beautiful day.

Acting!

First I want to say Happy Birthday (if belated) to Corrieke!

Ok so tonight I went to my first ever acting class, and by first ever I mean I've never even been in a school play or anything. It was three hours, and I was so nervous! First they tried to put us at ease, there were only 12 of us (half my age half much older), with stretching and vocal excercises.

Then we played this "What are you Doing" Game. You get in two lines and someone starts to mime an activity and then a person from the other line says: "What are you doing." The person replies with an activity that is not what he/she is actually miming, whatever they say you then have to do.

Next we did some excersises with the Messiner Technique. Then we were paired, and I was paired with this lovely lady named Victoria, and we were given short dialogues that mean nothing. For example: "Hey...Hey, you out there? What do you want?" Just stuff like that and we had to come up with the given circumstances, create who these people were and how we would say the lines. Victoria and I were co-workers, I was slammed and she wanted to show me something she was excited about. I wasn't excited at all. I think we did ok, but then we had to watch it on film!

Finally we "auditioned." Apparently when auditioning for a film you are given a dialogue exchange five minutes before you audition, you try and learn as much as you can and then you read with someone. It is called a cold read. The point is as the auditioner you are supposed to make a decision on who your character is, even though you have no clue. I was Evelyn from a Neil LaBute play, and needless to say I was so nervous!

Victoria said I did well, and so did one of the teachers. But I might go back next Monday when they will show everyone's video and make comments. I got to see some of mine, and I hate the way I look on camera! I wasn't wearing much make-up, bad mistake, and goodness do I even have eyelashes! But I think I did ok. The teacher said I was very natural and used my eyes well, that the audience could tell what I was thinking and stuff.

I'm not saying I'll run off and try and act. I don't know if I have the looks or if I am half decent, but it was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. Though I would prefer Theatre to film I do believe, but I had a good time.

Tomorrow I move back to school to start graduate school, and what a lot of work it will be. Ugh.

I hate Thunderstorms

I really really do. I don't understand how some people love them so much. I was awakened last night at 4:30 in the morning by this huge storm. I mean the thunder was so loud and cracking, not only did the house shake but you thought this is it...the end. Not to mention the lighting that that lit up my whole room with the blinds closed. Then as it moved beyond it was so loud you still felt it when it was miles away, it took me forever to get back to sleep and that was after I had been sleeping so deeply; which I needed.

Right now I'm watching the Federer v. Nadal French Open Final and GO FEDERER!!!!!!!! Oh I hope he wins and can get one step closer to winning the Grand Slam.

I only have a week and a half until summer session classes start, and I'm not very excited. I needed longer out of school to be honest, and then all my friends aren't up at school. So I'll be living in a new place, alone. I don't mind being alone. The problem is it will take awhile to feel safe in the new place and not knowing anyone in the apartment complex I guess it makes it worse.

Well I suppose this was the complaining update...sorry.

On a good note my job at the Hot Dog stand has allowed me to read a lot and I've read some great books. :)

Maisie Dobbs...

is a mystery series that I have fallen in love with! I picked the book up randomly from Barnes and Noble to read over the summer, and then when I realized it was a series I had to go get the next two books. The fourth book is due out this August, and I am so excited!

I love Maisie, she is a different kind of investigator, and I love the fact that it is set after the Great War. All the cases lead back to the Great War, and then Maisie has to learn to face her own issues from the war.

Lies and Amy will be bored to tears with this entry, knowing all this anyway.

OK SPOILER BELOW...I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO CUTS.

I am a shipper at heart, and if anyone has read the series oh speak to me about Andrew Dene. Maisie had better not throw this one away, and the author better not bring anyone else into the picture. Andrew is so good for her, but I think she has to work past loving Simon before he "died." I do so hope she can and we can get good shippy moments, because Andrew is already in love with Maisie. Here's to hoping she'll let herself fall for him too, or already realize she has. I loved one scene in Pardonable Lies were she drew upon the image of her Mother, Simon, and Andrew to face an obstacle and it said Andrew brought her the most calming sensation. hehe ok I must stop, but yay for great new books randomly found!

One more thing...I do worry because obviously the second world war is looming ahead and I do hope netiher Andrew or Maisie loose their lives during that war. eek, at least we have nine years before then in the series and that could be 9/18 books. :)

Ok I promise no more updating Livejournal entries, after this one. :)

I read an interview and the author said "her immersion in her work threatens her budding romance..."
in the new book. Why must shippers suffer so? But maybe it is good, if it forces Maisie to see the value of Andrew and of course if it is resolved in this book and I don't have to wait for others!

Graduation

Well on Sunday I graduated from college, and the weather was great. It was supposed to rain, but we got clear Carolina skies!!

I can't believe I'm a college graduate, even though I have a year of graduate school, it is still hard to believe. Part of me doesn't want to, I mean do I have to be an adult? I guess what scares me is actually teaching, and I'll be student teaching come next January. EEk

On other news I thought I would be without a computer for the month I'm home, but I found a way to hook my laptop up and we have internet! Wohoo. I'm probably very addicted, but I like instant messanger and checking my email and my favorite sites. Besides sometimes you don't want to read or do other stuff. :)

I finished my story on the board, and I'm quite proud of this one I confess. The second half may not have been as good as the first half, but overall it is my best work. Now I'm trying to think about what to do for my next story. I'd love a mystery, but I've read few of them and I'm not sure I could pull it off. Maybe a few fluff stories are in order before another big project. Any suggestions?

Once you are tagged you must write a blog about your 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next six people to be tagged and list their names.

1. Developing obsessions for “thatish” people. Though it’s not really something new – I’ve always kind of been like that – it’s been really “bad” lately… although actually I really like it and hey, it’s like I tend to say: variety is good. Also quite helps my creativity along, actually ;).

2. Ever since I've had problems with my jaw: my tempora manibular joint, the hinge, messes up I stretch my jaw all the time. I know I look funny doing it.

3. I stick pencils or pens in my hair when it is pulled up, and forget they are there. I've been known to walk about with them sticking in my hair.

4. When I was a baby I would hum when I ate because I loved food, and I'll catch myself when I'm eating a dinner I just love softly humming. :)

5. When I visit castles or large estates I always try and picture me living in them, or in somewhere just as big. I've never felt overwhelmed in any large house, even the White House, I thought yeah I could make this a home.

6. When I'm in an historical place I always want silence. History has a powerful effect on me, I clasp my hands together and just think or sometimes I don't think at all. I just want to feel the years pulse around me.

I'll take Amy and Alesia.

After ten but I have a few moments...

Finals have begun. I studied all day today for an exam on East Asia politics. The thing I hate about finals though is I study today and get roughly 33 pages of notes, front and back, done but then I have lots to do tomorrow too. I need to take more notes on two different readings, study my china notes from the mid-term, and catch up on my east asia current events. I hate how at finals you feel like you've had a productive day, but only more days of the same are staring you in the face.

On another note I graduate from Uni on the 14th. Of course I return for a twelve month program as a graduate student, but it is all so strange. True adulthood is on my doorstep and I'd rather just kick it to the curb.

Amy and I were able to get an apartment for next year! Of course it isn't as nice as the one we have now, but hopefully it won't be too bad. (the one we have now we got on a deal and is really nice and new, so we have been spoiled)

I'm afraid I don't have anything else interesting to say. Just study, study, study right now.

Panic attack...

Ok I have this notebook that I do everything in. I mean I write my AD/MM stories in it, I write some of my papers in it, and any research for any papers. Well I discover at 9:30 pm that I left it in the classroom I had had my last class of the day. Oh my gosh my heart stopped!

I get in my car and zoom to campus praying that the buildings and classrooms are open. I'm driving, quickly I admit, and I come sorta quickly upon a car that has been stopped at a light but I was no where near hitting it. So these people are in the left hand lane, the passing lane in America, and decide to go one mile under the speed limit to tick me off. The guy in the backseat keeps staring at me, and I'm not ridding their bumper. Finally I can pass them in the right lane, and luckily everything was open on campus and my notebook was found safe and sound.

Now I realize some people ride bumpers for fun, but sometimes you just need to get somewhere fast and those jerks wouldn't speed it up a little. I had no idea when everything closed, or if they did, I mean grrrr. Luckily my notebook was retrieved, whew crisis adverted.
